Hello;

i was trying to install a BO system with Oracle DB and Tomcat web sevrer each of them on a sevrer.

In the server1 i installed the Oracle DB .

On the second server i installes the Otrcale client and ensure that it  can connect to the Oracle DB, then i started the installation of the BO with the Custom/Expand option so i uncheck the Web server option.the issue i met is that with the cutom option the tol doesn not give the choise abiout the DB as it does when i did the installation with the full option and it oblige me to choose  DB2 as a DB.

Is there a way to have the choise of the DB to use when choosing the Custom installation ?

Thanks for your help;

Hi Hassan,

When you are doing the customer installation, Are you selecting the CMS as well during the custom options. The installation will give you an option to point to a database only if you have a CMS running on that server.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Mrinal

Hello Hassan,

I have performed BO 4.0 and BO 4.0 SP2 custom installation on windows with oracle.

Kindly mention your OS and BO version.

And why are you unchecking web server?  Have you previously installed and configured a web server? Apache Tomcat is the defualt web server.

so,did you see if you had "integrated database" checked as a custom option.  can you check if it has installed mySQL instead?

Hello Glen nd thanks for your answer;

Actually there is no option called "integrated database" in the custom setup.

I went further in tehinstallation but the only option i have was the port of DB2 server to install which you can not skip.

So if i choose the custom option i must install DB2 serevr which is strange.
