Material Master data upload

Dear All,

recently we set up a new client for a new project work by taking a system copy of our QA client. But we haven't got the master data. How we can get all the avaialble data of the material master and upload it to the new client.

Appreciate your suggesion without a LSMW.

Tks

Sujith

    BDC--old technology

BAPI-oops based ---it is suggest to go with BAPI

    ALE-IDOCS---its complicated ...

    HI Sujith

BD10 will be the best option to send the materials.

    SAP Program : RBDSEMAT

you use this program to distribute material master data to other systems by sending it direct. The sending system can be configured in one of the following ways:

    Industry system

Only materials maintained in the industry material master can be sent.

    Retail system

Only materials maintained in the retail material master can be sent.

    Mixed system

Both industry and retail materials can be sent.

By specifying a logical system in the corresponding field, you can restrict the list of IDoc recipients to the recipient entered.

    Note

If inbound processing for the dependent data is set such that the arriving <DS:GLOS.IDoc_type>IDocs</> are posted directly in the target system, errors can occur if the IDoc with the material master data has not yet been posted. In this case, the IDocs containing the dependent data must be reposted, for example, in a specially scheduled job that periodically reposts all IDocs not processed correctly.

To prevent this problem, you can schedule one periodic job for posting the material master data, and another for each dependent object. By executing the job for the material master data long enough in advance of the jobs for the dependent data, you can ensure that the IDocs containing the dependent data are processed only after the material master data has been posted.

If you specify a server group in the corresponding field, the processing of the materials selected is distributed among the application servers contained in the server group. In the <LS>Number of Materials Per Process</> field, you can define the number of materials to be processed before a new process is started on one of the application servers.

    PRECONDITION

    • Industry system
You have entered a message type in the <LS>Message type (standard)
      </> field.
    • Retail system
You have entered a message type in the <LS>Message type (Retail)</> field.
    • Mixed system
You have entered a message type in the <LS>Message type (standard)
</> field and in the <LS>Message type (Retail)</> field.
