IF_USMD_MODEL_EXT method READ_CHAR_VALUE is giving dump

Hi,

with below code i am getting dump at the time of CR activation for customer , same code is working in Dev system. Pls help

lt_instance->read_char_value(
EXPORTING
i_fieldname = usmd0_cs_fld-crequest
IMPORTING
et_data = lt_creq_entity ).

lt_instance->read_char_value(
EXPORTING
i_fieldname = usmd0_cs_fld-crequest
