Significance of rounding rule in positive time configuration (Schema TM00)

Hi Guys,

I have few leave type need which needed to be configured in way that half day can be deducted from the leave quota. In this scenario what is the significance of rounding rule in counting rule table T556C and selection rule (generation rule) table V_T559L. Do i need to configure rounding rule and assign it counting rule and selection rule.

Note: This scenario for positive TM (TM00)

Pls. guide me.

    Hi Ben,

    Greetings for the day,

When you need a half day to be accounted as a leave and going to deduct from the Quota, You need not to Create a Rounding Rule, and not gonna assign it to counting rule.

If an employer is allowing his employee to book a half day leave, he/she can be able to apply for the half day leave if it is going to be rounded then the system will make it a fullday which is not accepted by Employee.

    Ex:

Casual Leave of 0.5 day ---- Assign ---- Rounding Rule = Quota - 1 day (rather 0.5 day)

So the rounding rule must not be assigned to the counting rule & generation rules as well. Hope you got the point.

    With warm regards,

    hi,

first you clarify with your client how he wants,as per client requirement you do config.

i dont think you need rounding rule just avoid it.do config and test it.
