deleting a contace person

Hello to all!

is it possible to delete a contact person from a BP who is active and AR Invoices have taken place for this BP?

i am trying to close this row by right click and the following message is displayed

Yes it is not possible to delete it since it is already in use, what do you want why your going to delete it?

because this contact person does not work any more in this company

how can i manage it?because this employee may go to another BP for example which will be our customer

You need to change the contact person in All the AR Invoice related to that BP and then only you can delete it.

Hi,

The deletion of contact person is not possible when the contact person have been used in some marketing documents.

Based on the sap note:

1530763  - Cannot delete contact person in BP.

Symptom

You create a delivery that using the customer which has more than one contact persons. You change the default contact person in Business Partner Master Data. It gets the error message 'Contact person is  referenced by another object "Deliveries [Test1][Message 3511-1].'  when you delete the contact person which is not link to any object.

 

Cause

Application error.

 

Solution

SAP intends to provide patches in order to solve described problem.
The section Reference to related Notes below will list the specific
Patches when available.
The corresponding Info file of Patches on SAP Service Marketplace will
show the correction / SAP Note number also.
Be aware that these references can only be set at Patch release date.
SAP will deliver Patches only for selected Releases at its own
discretion, based on the business impact and the complexity of the
implementation.

you can only delete contact person that have not been used in any B1 objects.

So, to make the contact person inactive, create a udf in contact person and set the udf value to be Yes or No.

After that, create SBO store procedure transaction notification to validate the use of the inactive contact person in any object of SAP B1 by SBO users .

If it is used in the documents then SAP will not allow to delete ?

system will throw you an error

"CAN NOT DELETE THIS CONTACT PERSON. IT IS USED IN SALES ORDER"

for example.
