Hi
I set a static ip on my router I successfully connected giving Static I.P and saw the list of companies or DBs but it prompted me for the License Server IP , I entered local LAN I.P 192.168.1.20 but it gives me error message . On Company's List Screen it show me Static I.P
"connection to the Licence server failed (60070-15)"
Need any assistance on this matter.
Thanks
Sunny,
2 things....
First one, we dont support running SBO client connecting over a WAN to the SQL Server - please refer to my latest blog post here -
But as to your specific issue, make sure you have also opened ports 30000 and 30001 on the firewall so that the client can communicate through the firewall with the license server.
If you changed the license server port then use your new port number and that new port number plus 1 so if your new port was 50 then you would need to open port 50 and 51.
Cheers
Richard

I use sonicwall VPN and made sure the machine was on the same domain and there was no problems. It is slow. Better using a Citrix or windows terminal server.

HI
Remote desktop connection can be used for running sap b1 through internet.
You need to buy licenses from microsoft if you are using MS Server.
Or
To satisy you query,A VPN Connection must be setabilished between server and client, then only you can give the IP Address as license server and gets connected.
