Sorting Variables in the Bex Selection screen

How does one get the sort arrows(the up down arrow next to the varaible in the image below" and "select all" checkbox in the selection screen of a bex query. I have seen this but not sure how to di it?

Any pointers please.

This is the standard user interface for BEx Web 7.0 version.

If you are using the web version then it must be the support pack level of your system. It is not a configurable feature. Maybe you can post your support pack level and a screen shot of what the selection screen drop down looks like on your system.

The BI_JAVA version is 7.0 EHP1 SP5. This is how it looks now:

If it is SP level which one would bring in the sort feature.

We are at 7.0 EHP1 SPS08 and the Fiscal year drop down look like:

You might want to look at the Support pack release notes for SP6 - SP8

  Thanks for your time. I am using Bex 7.0 Query, this link is for analyzer, is it still applicable for me.What setting exactly do I make, is it a global setting in teh backend or is it something specific to the query. Please advise.
