Hi BW experts
We have designed our mail alerts with RSPCM, as described in this SDN-document:
How do we schedule for each process chain with different recipients and different texts the mail alert job?
Is there a need to define variants for RSPC_MONITOR?
Any ideas?
Thanks
BEO

Hi Riyez
I don't want to maintain the variant in the process chain.
In RSPCM you have listed all existing process chains.
There I would like to maintain variants for each chain in case of error.
Currently the job for programme RSPC_MONITOR is scheduled, but it is valid for all chains.
We would like to differentiate from chain to chain.
do you understand?
Thanks
BEO
Hi C208,
If I am not wrong, you are looking for an option to create alert for individual process chain instead of all the process chains defined in the RSPCM. But why do you want to go for it, when it can be solved using a single variant
Define the required process chains in RSPCM, create the variant, enter the mail ID, define and schedule the job accordingly.
Please check the below link. Hope this helps.

Sai
Hey Thomas...
if you want to have diff msgs for diff chain then there is only one option, you have to assign message after individual process chain completion. even you can assign different roles to different messages.
other way is...
for all process chain you can use RSPC_MONITOR_MAIL
it will monitor all your process chain status and trigger a message only if any process chain fails.
