Hi,
By mistake we have created Production BOM with item category - N instead of L.
Please suggest is it possible to change by any t-code.
Regards,
Rampreet Jaiswal
You cannot change item category even with any function module provided by SAP
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_40b/helpdata/fr/92/58b521417011d189ec0000e81ddfac/content.htm
You'd have to delete the item and add the new item with same component but different category L, like others have already mentioned.

Rampreet,
you cant directly change this field in line item of production order , but you can certainly delete it in CO02 and add new line item with item category.
As production order items are copied from BOM , you need to do this changes in BOM too, use transaction CS02 , select the line item with category N , delete it and add new line item with category L, with this change all the production orders which will be created will have this change effective.
you can also complete this BOM change first and then by using function Re Read master data in CO02, reflect these changes in existing production orders.
Check out , it may help you.
Thanks
Ritesh

Hi
Either you can delete the N non stock item and then add the same with L item category. or Try with ECM for component.

Hi,
With tcode CS02, you can delete the non stock item (N) components by selecting the line item and click the delete icon.
In the normal way you, can add new components with item category L.
