Upload DMS document in Document Browser

Hi,

I'm working on a requirement, wherein we are trying to upload documents from presentation server(desktop) onto DMS server.

We've used SAP std. BAPI 'BAPI_DOCUMENT_CREATE2' for the upload, and it is working perfectly.

However, we are not able to upload these documents in 'Document Browser' tab available in CV01N/CV03N transaction.

Kindly, suggest how can I adapt this BAPI or any other FM to tackle the requirement.

Directory structure in Document Browser is as follows:

Main Folder->Sub Folder---(Inside this sub folder we are trying to upload the document)

Thanks in advance.

Thanks & Regards,

Amit

    Hi,

Got the solution for the problem, after lots of R&D 😊

Step 1) Create DMS docuement using BAPI 'BAPI_DOCUMENT_CREATE2'(It was working perfectly)

    Additional steps:

Step 2) Get the details of the existing folder from Document Browser using BAPI 'BAPI_DOCUMENT_GETDETAIL2'

Step 3) Add details of the newly created DMS document in table 'documentstructure' received from step 2

Step 4) Update folder document using BAPI 'BAPI_DOCUMENT_CHANGE2'

    Thanks & Regards,

    Amit

    Hi,

The Bapi BAPI_DOCUMENT_CREATE2 will create a DMS document number which will be exported by this Bapi, have you verified that DIR number with CV03N transaction?

You need to pass the file details in tables parameter DOCUMENTFILES.

    lwa_files-storagecategory = 'DMS_C1_ST'.

lwa_files-docpath = C:\Test\'. " Path where the file is on presentation server

    lwa_files-docfile = 'Test.doc'.

    lwa_files-wsapplication = 'WRI'. "Word document

    lwa_files-checkedin = lc_x.

    APPEND lwa_files TO i_files.

now pass the i_files to the BAPI in DOCUMENTFILES tables parameters.

    Thanks & Regards
