OfficeControl using MS Word fires onSave event more than once

I'm using the officeControl UI element to allow users to change a word document and save their changes into a document management system. This is all working fine except that the onSave event is being fired twice and I cannot figure out why this is happening. Has anyone else come across this?

I still do not have an answer to this and now have a additional issues. Upon closing the window we have noticed that the WINWORD.EXE process is still running if we view via Task Manager. So, every time we open a document and then close it, yet another WINWORD.EXE appears in Task Manager. Can anyone tell me how to close this process? I've noticed that the onClose event is not fired when the window is closed. Again, any ideas why this might be happening?
