is it possible to increase length of st loc description

1.Is it possible to increase the length of description in 0x09

   now description allowed for 17 digits, we need to increase the length is it possible and how?

2. In purchase order creation screen me21n t code, PLANT description is as PLNT in Item details

     how to correct as PLANT

Also check it is 16 not 17...

Answer q2>> For the the allowed Charracter length is 4 , thats why it is PLNT.

That is fixed and we cant increase the length so we cant maintain PLANT  .
