[CO-PC-PCP] How to Fix Header Material for Non Leading (Non Primary) Co Product

Background

We are manufacturing two Finished Goods (Ex: FG-A and FG-B). In the process of manufacturing these Finished Goods we get the same Co Product (Ex: COP-1).

When manufacturing the First Finished Goods FG-A, we allocated the costs to FG-A (FG-A is the Primary Co Product and COP-1 is the Non Leading Co Product) COP-1 using the equivalence numbers 7:3 between FG-A and COP-1 respectively

When manufacturing the First Finished Goods FG-B, we allocated the costs to FG-B (FG-A is the Primary Co Product and COP-1 is the Non Leading Co Product) and COP-1 using the equivalence numbers 8:1 between FG-A and COP-1 respectively.

Problem Statement

When doing cost estimate for COP-1, it is taking into Consideration the Apportionment Structure given in FG-A, we would want the system to take the apportionment structure specified in FG-B

1) Is there a way we can specify FG-B as Header material for COP-1

2) Is there a way to tell the system to Consider FG-B instead of FG-A when doing a Cost Estimate for COP-1

    Dear Surya,

when costing COP-1 the system has to choose one of the possible ways (processes) how this material is produced. To tell the system which process to choose you have to do the following:
In material master data (costing view 1) of material COP-1 you have to create a production version in with you specify the header material (material FG-B). Then enter this version as production version in 'costing view 1'.
Afterwards costing of COP-1 will choose the entered production version, i.e. use header material FG-B.

    Best regards,

Your solution works like a CHARM.

    Thank You Very Much.
