How to map this sceanario

Hi PP Gurus

We have the following sceanario in planning , which we want to configure in SAP MRP thru consumption based Planning (CBP) method

I have taken a case to illustrate the sceanario better

1. Avaeage Sales of a Product is 100 numbers / day

2. Total monthly sales of the product (assuming 25 working days) is 2500

3. Totak week sales accordingly is 700 nos

4. Minimum stock to be kept is for 7 days ( 1 week)

5. Ordering to the vendor to be donce once in a week , keeping the despatch schedule of 100 nos daily from vendor

6. Lead Time from PO to receipt is 7 days

Based on above data , please suggest , what levels should be kept in material master to trigger automatic Purchase requisitions , for Consumption based planning

Hi Gurus

I have found some clue

With reorder point at 700 & lot size FS (Fixing & splitting) , I am able to achieve my objective , but still one issue

With lot size FS , I am able to split the despatches from vendor but the date in each PR is coming as same

e.g. on the basis of reorder point , system has created the ordering lot of 700 nos & has created 7 Purchase requsitions of 100 nos each , which is ok for me

But it is assigning the SAME date on each PR , where as I want the dates in PR should be different

How can this be achieved

Sandeep,

But it is assigning the SAME date on each PR , where as I want the dates in PR should be different

????? This is reorder point planning.  Why would you want the dates to be different?  The dates are supposed to be the same, by design.  You can, if you wish, manually change the dates of your procurement proposals to meet your business requirements.

Or maybe you shouldn't be using reorder point.....

If your business goal is to have string of periodic-based purchase reqs, VB is unsuitable.  If you need consumption based planning, then you should probably use Forecast MRP type FB.

Hi,

Maintain the below settings in the material master,

MRP type as VB - reorder point planning.

Reorder point - 700

Lot size - FX - Fixed lot size

Fixed lot size qty - 700

Planned delivery time - 7 days

Hi,

What i can understand from your query is you have 1  is to 1 ratio of component and assembly. Maintain 700 as your as your re-order point to trigger automatic PR.
