Standard extractor for customers

Hi,

can anybody tell me whether there is an standard extractor to get the product (mara-matnr)?

And, I need to create a new dimension calculated from this extractor, to be used in a infocube? What is the best way to do this? With an ODS?

0material_attr to be loaded into 0material.

Calculation of a new field does not necessarily mean 'DSO'.  You could do it in an internal table with ABAP, or a formula, or read master data or...

So you have to be more specific.

is it possible to use 0material_attr in a new feature in my infocube?

This new feature will be the matnr field but treated. I need to catch matnr and to get only the first three character of each matnr.

You don't neet 0material_attr for that.

So you have your datasource, doesn't matter which one.  In that datasource you have MATNR.

Of this MATNR you only want to retain the first 3 chars.

So in your transformation map MATNR with 0material and create a formula on this rule.

Use LEFT(3, MATNR ).  Easy peasy.
