session error

We have opened 2 session in sap using transaction va03 but we are being given the message that max sessions reached when actually user limit of session is 6 in parameter rdisp/max_alt_modes this happens sometimes to different users

Hi,

Make sure that the parameter rdisp/max_alt_modes is maintained correctly with value 6 for affected SAP application server. It may be a chance that the user might get such session related issue for other SAP Application/dialogue instance in which she/he is logged in. If your SAP system is running with multiple SAP Dialogue Instances then you can check the current value of parameter rdisp/max_alt_modes in every SAP Dialogue Instances.
