Hello Gurus,

We have the below requirement from user ie they want to see the key figure and formula description in Spanish apart from English, when they logging with language as ES.

For example:

Now when User logged in English ,they can see the description of key figures(for eg. gross whole sale), whereas the description of the same key figure in Spanish is as Subtotal 1.

For the time being, we have manually maintained the Spanish translation of the above mentioned fields. But I need to know any global solution exists to implement this at info object level. Also,in future if requirement comes to include another language. How to accommodate this.

Thanks and regards,

Renjith.

Hi Seben,

Thanks for the information. The links which you provide gives the steps to do this via translation workbench, but it is in older version where as we are working in BW 7.0. So do you have any updated document link to share or any new method.

Regards,

Renjith

Hi Renjith,

as far as I kno, there was never a change in the translation environment, so there is no new way how to do it in BW 7.0.

Either you use the translation environment or you manually translate each query component (by opening the query with the query designer and the target language as the logon language).

The choice will entirely depend on the number of translations to be done.
