Hi

I want to know SAP workflow name

What do you mean exactly ? Every workflow in SAP has its own name and there are quite a lot of them in the different systems already so please be a little more specific ?

Compare other worflow to SAP workflow

Well one more time it is difficult to answer this without context especially since you are in a forum regarding SAP Business Workflow.
Are you talking about SAP BPM workflow ? Or other editor workflow Which ones ? Why comparing them to SAP workflow ? If you are using SAP and want to use workflow SAP workflow is certainly the best options in the long run.

Sap business workflow has business process modeling tools integrated with SAP with which you can design and create your processes.

Other workflow tools are either solely tools to visualize business processes or are integrated with other third party software.

Hi

You can use external software, and link it to SAP via RFC, Webservice ... but why ?

You are complexifying your life.

If the display is your problem then you can build in whatever technology the display and have the workflow within SAP, as long as you use the proper technology (the best I think would be o'data and the cheaper RFC (with SAP_WAPI function)

But to be honnest with FIORI you can also improve the display

Cheers

Stephane

Hi Vidhi,

"i want to integrate other workflow tool with SAP, is it possible?"

Off-course its possible to integrate other workflows into SAP. However, the point that you have to understand here is about modeling workflow. When you define, design workflow you need to use the respective software tools to perform this task. Once your modeling is done then you need to have a fair amount of understanding on how to create and raise events in SAP so that the workflow you designed can act as a receiver. In this process you may end up in maintaining and defining the other system in Destinations (SM59) . Further, you need to define and implement RFC's or a mechanism which can instantiate workflow.

The instantiated workflow generates different work items and one of the significant item would be the decision step or a foreground work item which requires a user interaction. This needs to be placed in the users inbox of SAP. This can be done; for example, by using UWL Universal Work List. Its one of the kinds which can pull and push the actions from any legacy or third party system. However, you have to know the connector which needs to be consumed and it should be integrated with your org. NW Portal. For example IBM lotus notes work items can be pulled into this UWL and take appropriate actions. You can also pull notifications and mails which are delivered to users inbox within SAP.

Guided Procedures of BPM is another variant. However, in this context you need help us to elaborate more about the use case and scenario you are looking at.

The above mentioned points are completely dependent on the version and SP level of your ECC system.

Thanks, Pavan
