SM37 -Job History how to increase beyond 10 days?

Hi

Am not aware of this basis activity of job schedules history maintenance and how it is done.

Can anyone help.

I see the following jobs running on the system and the history is maintained only for 10 days.

SAP_REORG_JOBS
SAP_REORG_SPOOL
SAP_REORG_BATCHINPUT
SAP_REORG_ABAPDUMPS
SAP_COLLECTOR_FOR_JOBSTATISTIC

How can we increase this history details to say 2 weeks or 1 month if there is a requirement.

Is there any parameter - which will restrict the history to 10 days or would help to increase the time period to any desired level ?

Can anyone advise on this ?

HI

The job SAP_REORG_JOBS delete all the history of your job

the job SAP_REORG_SPOOL delete all the history of your spool

if you want to change the parameter of the job you need to go to program RSBTCDEL

and change the variant for this program

In se38 : RSBTCDEL

As suggested i have created a new zvar1 for 15 days and used that variant  for job : SAP_REORG_JOBS. Kept this for testing on a test server, so that we could do the same on production server.

Hope the same holds good for the spool delete as well : RSPO0041

Hi John.

Thank you very much for the info.

Shall go this the kbase. I am a bit confused. Because when i go thro the job, it talks only of the original program. Which is seen for the job.

So i presume that we have to create a new job with the new program and check the patch levels and sap notes etc and then do the necessary corrections for the jobs. Shall check on this.

Hello Indu,

One of the advantages of using RSBTCDEL2 is that you can enter more
than 2 digits in the "older than"  fields in order to change your
variant.
