Hi,
Our SAP Solution Manager 7.1 system is now install and we want to connect a BI 4.0 installation from a remote customer to our SLD.
My questions are :
Do I have to install SAPRouter, VPN or anything else to make the remote connection to our SLD ?
Do I have to install SAP EWA, Diagnostic Agent, HostControl, only one or all of this components side-to-side to the BI4.0 customer installation ?
We've read some SAP Notes and docs about SLD Data supplier and configuring SLD-DS for apache tomcat but it's still dark in our minds...There's no really clear doc to scceed this step.
Context :
Local installation :
SAP SOLUTION MANAGER 7.1 SR1
Win Server 2008 with Oracle DB
Customer installation (remote installation) :
SAP BO BI 4.0 SP2 Patch 14
Main (other) question : How to establish remote connection from VAR solution manager to customer installation ? How do you integrate BI 4.0 in a SLD and make connection to our local SAP SOLMAN SLD ?
We need help at this moment but we're still searching in SAP Backbone documents (SCN, forums, SAP Notes, xSearch, SAP MarketPlace).
Best Regards,
William

Hi William,
Currently under development is a new Solution Manager 'lite' (aka Solution Manager hub) which essentially will be the new Remote Support Component for BI4. It is meant to bridge the gap between the Wily Introscope stand-alone setup and the full Solution Manager stack. It will be based on NetWeaver AS Java and will provide some additional functionality from Solution Manager that RSC was not able to implement.
I don't have any specific details yet but it is tentatively targeted for 2014.
Regards,
Toby

For more information, we still read this documentation :

and more SAP Notes...attached to this tutorial.

Hi Lakshmi,
Sorry but we were not able to connect our SAP SOLMAN with a remote BO BI4.
New release of Remote Support Component is planned for Q1 2013 which includes BI4 support.
There are some spaces dedicated :

By my side, I'm still looking for a good way to make this works. Question is still opened !
