IXOS with AS

Hi,

Is Archive Infostructure (AS) is required (or mandatory) if I choose to go for IXOS as Archive server.

Hi Ganesh,

It depends on the client or user requirement . If they want to see the data after the data gets deleted from SAP database table then definitely Archive info structure is mandatory.Info structure gets filled automatically once the delete job runs for a particular Archiving object.

I was using PBS in my last project where AS is not required / mandatory.

I want to know AS is mandatory for IXOS, or without that (AS) also I can manage with IXOS.

pbs has its own info structures, hence the  SAP Archive Infostructures are not needed.

AS is not needed for IXOS, but it is needed to have a quick access to display the documents if you dont have PBS
