single delivery for each single shipping shipping point

Hi all,

Currently my client uses complete delivery indicator in the sales order to insure customer receives single delivery for the order.

We have some times situation where shipping points are different in the sales order. In such case to allow the delivery creation we need to uptick the complete delivery indicator. System then allows to create the multiple deliveries.

but if any of the stock cannot be confirmed ( stock not available) it will end up with multiple deliveries to the customer for stock from the same shipping point.

i am looking for any solution by which complete delivery should work for each shipping point. order with two shipping points should not allow more then two delivery order generation based on the shipping points.

If I have correct understanding delivery grouping will be helpful for the BOM case only.

Your understanding is incorrect. For normal sales process also, you can use Delivery Group. Try using this in your system and update with your findings.

I have not used delivery grouping before . but delivery grouping is at Item category level. If I have correct understanding delivery grouping will be helpful for the BOM case only.

If we assign the A then system ask the structure scope, so not sure for the single item it can help. I am using item category copied from TAN.

There is a small misunderstanding, I did not mean structure scope = A in VOV7, I meant this setting in the customer master to restrict the number of partial deliveries for an item (sorry, my screenshot is from BP, but the same setting is in the shipping tab on sales area level in XD03):

Delivery groups can be used for non-BOM items as well:

Via VL01N it is still possible to create deliveries when the delivery group is incomplete (in a standard modification-free system) - e.g. you could deliver item 10 and 60 without item 20 in a single delivery, but with mass creation transactions like VL10A, VL10H this is working.

Have you tried using partial delivery/item = A plus setting delivery groups in the sales order?
You could still get delivery splits for the same shipping point, e.g. if the determined routes for the items for the same shipping point are different.
Using delivery groups and partial delivery/item = A will have a significant impact on the business processes, so I would not do that before discussing with the business.
