How to capitalize an asset using AUC Process.

Dear Gurus,

Can any one please help me how to create and capitalize an asset using WBS Element.

what is settlement rule? how to create a settlement rule?

First create an investment Profile under OITA TCode.

Check Manage AuC Check Box to create AUC asset automatically when new WBS element will be created.

Give Asset class, which you have created for Investment management purpose.  Give the Type of distribution rule. All other parameters are common. Then Assign this investment management profile to your project profile.

Then create a new project and WBS element under the project profile to which you have assigned the investment profile.

Now when you create a new WBS element then GOTO

Edit -> WBS Element -> Investment Programs -> Asset under construction

There you will an AUC asset. Without number (Automatically created).

AUC asset number will get generated after you release this WBS element. Now after spending amount against this WBS element, Run CJ88 under automatic processing. It will capitalize that AUC through WBS element.

As this is a large configuration change, make sure you have setup proper settings to create projects in project system.
