Lead time Scheduling

Hi,

Can someone tell me what is Lead time Scheduling and how are the production dates calculated.? How will system consider the Basic dates and floats defined in Schedule Margin Key in defining the production dates. What is the use of Individual operation timings defined in Routing and how will system consider these in calculating the production dates

I am totally confused. Please explain.
