Service Desk: delete Business Partner with all the messages

Former Member

Hello!

I would like to delete some business partners within Service Desk of Solution Manager 7.1.

There are some messages for these business partners created before.

When I execute the tcode BUPA_DEL and choose the appropriate Business Partner I get the following error:

Delete Business Partners

Deletion is not allowed

No Business Partners Deleted

E CRM_BUPA             205

Business partner 182 still used in business transactions

Question

What is the procedure to delete/archive all the messages and to delete the Business partners?

Hi Alex,

I think this note might help:

1111635: Business partner cannot be deleted

Hello!
Many thanks!

When I execute the report RSBCS_ADDRESS_REFERENCE and choose the appropriate Business partner I do not get any references.

Any other idea?

Hi Alex,

If the BPs are used in business transactions there are two options. Either archive the transactional data in which they are used or delete them. It is really recommended to archive them.

Once you have done this you will be able to archive/delete the BPs you aim.

Hello Hugo,

what are the relevant tcodes/reports for that?

Hi Alex,

The first thing to do is to check in which business transactions the BPs are used. Please call transaction CRMD_ORDER and open the BPs by selecting ''FIND ALL'' by ''CUSTOMER''. Now you should see where they are used.

So if you really want to delete the BPs you would need to delete the transactional data of the BPs in which they are involved first.

Alternatively you can archive the BPs instead of deleting. This is a much better option here .

The use of BUPA_DEL is not supported by SAP because it can create inconsistencies.

You can use the SARA tcode to archive the same.

Best Regards,

Hugo
