ADD MDM system to Solution Manager for early watch alerts

Hi ,

I need to add MDM system to SOLUTION MANAGER for early watch alerts. Currently we have earlywatch set up for ABAP based systems like R/3.

How do i set up Early watch alert for SAP MDM system. As per my understanding SAP MDM is java bases system.

Hi Manoj,

you can add the MDM system to solution manager. check

you can configure EWA report in MDM, but you get normal java checks on EWA, not for MDM related checks. you can see the confirmation from SAP here http://scn.sap.com/thread/1334158

For GRC system can we congifure as Standard ABAP early watch?

Hi Manoj,

If you are using GRC AC 5.3 - It's purely based on Java . So you can configure as EWA for Java.

If You are using GRC AC 10 - then you should use the method for EWA in ABAP.

Hi Manoj,

MDM system contains more components along with Java as well. So if you want to configure EWA for MDM systems, you will get the EWA only for Java based part.
