MBST steps

Good day!!!

I'm in a situation that I need to cancel a material document due to error in valuation type,

my problem is I'm not familiar with MBST.

I have tried a couple of times already transaction MBST, but still changes is not posted.

Can someone give me the steps in using MBST.

Any suggestion would be highly appreciated!!!

  Hi Ellaine

After executing MBST do the below mentioned steps: 

1. Record quantities on hand from the Item Ledger for the Plants, Material Numbers and their

associated batches and locations for items being cancelled.

2. Cancel the document with the following scenarios:

a. Valid and invalid material document number

b. Valid material document number with invalid year

c. Skip over and enter a line number

3. Check that both a single line and an entire document can be cancelled.

Sorry, but I can't follow your steps.

I needed to cancel the document 'cause it contain materials that have errors

while processing a delivery.

If you just want to know how to execute MBST step by step, then I need to lock this discussion according to our forum rules. if you have a problem then tell the problem in detail, you said e.g.  but still changes is not posted. do you get an error message? if yes, then tell what message you get.

I am expecting an answer. Otherwise this thread will be locked.

The truth is I know how to use the transaction, the problem is I cant post the changes. So, I thought perhaps I am missing something in the process.

Anyway, I have found out the cause of the error, it has something to do with 'deficit' of the stock.

- go to MBST - enter the material document number and year - you may give the reason for cancellation- click "Adopt+details" - it takes you to next screen - save..

- Kindly you can't cancel all the documents through MBST for example documents created through physical inventory, documents created for status change of batch and etc.

HI,

There is no difference between cancelling the Material Document in MIGO and MBST .

MIGO is an enjoy transaction, it is a replacement for the transaction MB1A , MB1B , MB1C, MBST,MB01 and MB0A etc.

As far as the 102 movement is concerned , there is no difference between MIGO and MBST .

if dont know MBST, then use MIGO t-code to cancel it

Hi,

Why do you want to use MBST when enjoy transaction MIGO is available ?

Excise entries will not be reversed if you use MBST hence it is better to use MIGO.
