Spool Number from ITCPO structure

Hello Experts,

I am developing a report for sending emial with PDF and Excel as attachment.IF i need to build a PDF structure i need to have spool Id number.But i have only ITCPO structure available.Please let me know how to get the spoolID.

One way is use this...

Whenever u will use the below statement, the SPool Id which has been been generated by your report and which u need to build the PDF structure will automatically come in variable l_spool_c, when u use the below statement.

GET PARAMETER ID 'SPI' FIELD l_spool_c.

if you using sap script then u can use FM : CALL FUNCTION 'CONVERT_OTF'.

or if u not use smart form or script the see the following example :

Hi,

Are you printing any Sapscript or Smartform in your program? Or just executing a program and that report output needs to be send as a PDF attachment?

If you want the report output as a PDF attachment, you have to execute once the same report using SUBMIT statement and generate a spool, to capture the correct spool, this SUBMIT statement must be scheduled using JOB _OPEN, JOB_SUBMIT and JOB_CLOSE.

As you have to execute the same report in that report, make sure it is executed only once or else it will be an endless loop.

Don't use ITCPO structure but the returned ITCPP structure (from CLOSE_FORM), subfield TDSPOOLID.

(I supposed you use SapSctipt and not SmartForms, but it would be easier to use the returned OTFDATA table and convert it to pdf)
