Searching documents by name from KM using web dynpro application

Dear All,

I need to create a web dynpro application which can search list of documents from KM (knowledge management) by taking a part of the name as input. Usually in SAP portal, there is one search option. I think that this option works on the basis of TREX. If so, can this be integrated in a web dynpro application? All the suggestions will be highly appreciated.
