Cross Docking possible in Lean WM?

Hello:

I need to create cross docking process in an SAP ECC 6.0 system, client does not have a WM for the plant he needs cross docking to work, so, I need to create a WM under such plant, but I was wondering if cross docking would work with lean WM? No retail. No EWM. It would be a normal Lean WM. and it is planned to create a special Storage Location for this lean WM.

Hi,

no, can't work. In Lean WM you have no bins, picking is only done by reading the assigned fixed bin in the material master. The TO would never use a CD functionality (that is guessing actually, I did not try it, but that is how the TO in Lean WM works).

well, I still must say I guess that it does not work. Funny enough, you can activate everything for CD, also in a Lean WM. But when I tried the process finally did never work, don't know if I missed anything (rarely do CD in WM), but still from the process side I can not imagine that it does work. And, well, nobody else said anything else, yes?
