Shelf Life Expiry Date not copied to characteristics

Dear Gurus,

I have created a Class for Shelf Life and Characteristics in CT04 for Shelf life. In CT04, I use table MCH1 and field VFDAT. When i do GR, Batch is created, but the shelf life expiry date not copied to my characteristics. When i go to MSC3N, the characteristics value is empty. I want the shelf life to be copied to Characteristic value.

Please guide me how to resolve this issue.
