Service Entry Data

Hi Gurus,

I want to find out in which table Reservation/dependent requirements are captured for service codes in SAP. For materials it is available in RESB table. I want to fetch BDMNG and ERFMG fields for service codes in PO.

Regards,

Sibin

    Try table ML_ESLL

Please check the below tables of service entry sheet:

ESKN Account Assignment in Service Package

    ESLH Service Package Header Data

    ESLL Lines of Service Package

    ESLP Service Item

    ESLT Service Item Short Texts

ESSR Service Entry Sheet Header Data

    ESST Service Item Short Texts

Parameters like quantity, gross price, currency, cost center, net value might be obtained by searching in the above tables. But probably for "short text", you have to use function module READ_TEXT.

Hope the above inputs are sufficient.

    Hi,

You want go for Reservation for service code?

Better understand concept behind service and its related scenaios.

Service is an intangible material & as services cannot be stored, a material master record of this material type does not contain inventory data. But in case of material master, materail can receive it physically and stored in the warehouse physically and if needed can be reserved for future requirement for any specific purpose. As service cannot be stored ,so measured in TOTAL or in SLAB as activities concerning to it.Like for example:activities are Painting , Cleaning, road constriction, Reapair job, consulting etc. This activities (AU) setting you can get and set in t.code: ML91

    NOTE:

To get Service from Vendor, you can use Service master(AC03) in Purchase Order/Service Order. To map in SAP,we do maintain Service master in item details with quanitiy , price with unit of measures and create purchase order to vendor mentioning Cost Object ( K or P or C etc...) and Item Category (D) where in item level unit of measues as AU.

For Selling Service to your Customer, you can go for creating sales order with material/materials with material type (DIEN material type) and sale it.For DIEN material type used for scenarios like time & material (which mainly used for resource related billing), milestone billing and Fixed Order where you have different sales order document type.

You can't create reservation for service master or services which are created with AC01 and created with service PO. If if you feel its necessary to reserve the service, you create the service as material masters(MM01) and not service masters(AC01). But this is not a best practise and used only it it's genuinely necessary and you feel service master and service PO wont solve the purpose. Also you need to analyse about the below.

    - You need to think of special valuation class and gl accounts to be assigned in BSX account.

    - You need to think of special storage locations to seperate this service from other stocks.

Moreover why you need to reserve the service. Why dont you create a PR for service which can also considered as reservation and later convert it into PO and recieve the service. Or create a contract for long term services and release the contract with PO every time you need the service. so that PO can be considered as reservation / procurement.

      Hi Experts,

In AFVC and COSP tables, cost elements are not captured. But in SLR Report I can see this cost element and against this, actual cost and plan cost is visible. Why these values are not updated in tables?

      Can anyone pls guide me?

      Regards,

      Sibin
