Selection of Prod. Ver.during MFBF

Dear Gurus,

I am in REM and i have a scenario where i have one material with multiple versions and during MRP run system is selecting version first maintained in material master and creating plan order with that version.This is std system behaviour as lot size,validity is same for all the versions.My requirement is i need to change the version at the time of MFBF.

Kindly guide me how to achieve the same.

Hi,

After MRP run system picks only first PV but as per your requirement, either you can assign the PV while making PIRs in MD61 or assigning the Planned order qty after MRP run to different production lines/PV thru Planning table MF50.

Check and revert

Dear Anupam,

Thanks for your valuable input,my problem is that i am not able to figure out on which version i have to do the MFBF,we will do the booking only when we actually got input from shop floor on which machine production has happened.

Kindly let me know the procedure how to do changes in MF50 as mentioned in your reply.

Hi

Go to MF50> give Plant> material then > F8> then you have qty assigne to first PV if you have asigned in MD61 then select the PV or production line> select icon truck for distributing the qty.

Dear SAP PP,

Is your issue creating planned orders for each production version or else the output of MRP along

with the production versions?

As you have understood,the system always picks the first available production version during MRP

for a given demand in MD61.In case if you want different production versions linked with the planned

orders,either you have to define the PIR's in MD61  itself along with the production version or else

define some quota arrangement for the product in MEQ1.

However during confirmation in MFBF,you can manually select the production version or change it in

case if it's linked to the planned order already during confirmation.

Now check and revert back with your further queries.

Dear Mangalraj & Anupam,

I have tried in MF50 to change the version, i am able to change it there but as i am change the version there a new plan order number is getting generated.Can we control this.As i have to use pull list fot the the material issuance.

One other option both of you told me about putting version in PIR itself i am exploring that but naot able to figured it out where do i put it in PIR.

Kindly give ur valuable inputs for the same too.

Hi

In both case you will have different planned order whether you change from MF50 or PIR in MD61> goto scheule lines> settings> PV.

In MFBF screen itself you can change the production version.
