Former Member

Dear All,

We have installed NW BPC 10, SP4  on BW 7.3. We have executed program UJS_ACTIVATE_CONTENT in SE38.  I logged into BPC 10 screen from web and followed below step.

1. Login to BPC 10

2. Click on Administration

3. Manage All environment

4. select ENVIRONMENTSHELL and changed the status from "offline" to "online".

5. select ENVIRONMENTSHELL and clikc on copy.

6. I have given TEST as new environment ID & selected Data in models, Web Documents, Documents and Journal template and click on COPY.

7. After few minutes, i got error "Environment Copy has failed"

8. Clicked on Details and saw error "Profile SystemAdmin does not exist"

Can anyone tell me what can be the issue here ? I want to start the data modelling.

Appreciate your help in advance.

Regards,

Komik Shah

Hi Komik,

As the error indicates, can you please check the profile and ensure you have the authorizations.

Hi Nilanja,

Thanks for your prompt response. Below are my findings.

1. our basis guy has created 2 user id's in BW.

     i ) BPC_ADMIN

     ii) KSHAH

2. I logged in to BPC screen with  KSHAH id and click on administration

then i clicked on users but couldn't see my ID.So, i  created my user id KSHAH

KSHAH and assigned team ADMIN . I also assigned Task profiles like primary admin, secondary admin & system admin.

3 . I tried again to copy ENVIRONMENTSHELL and tried to copy it but got

the same error  "Profile SystemAdmin does not exist"

Can you tell me if i am missing anything ? Or do let me know some steps to follow.

Appreciate your response again.

Thanks.

Hi Komik,

I believe that the mentioned profile is not available. Can you please create a profile with the same name, assign the authorizations, and assign your ID to it.

Hope this helps.

Hi Nilanjan,

Task Profile SystemAdmin is available in the system. There are 3 task profiles available in the system.

1. Primary Admin

2. Secondary Admin

3. SystemAdmin

SystemAdmin has only Administration & System Security tasks assigned by default. I am not able to change or add any more tasks to this task profile because system says that "I can not edit current task profile because it is a system default"

in this case... which of the below 2 options are fine ?

1. Delete SystemAdmin task profile and recreate a new one with same name and assigned number of tasks and then assign it to my ID ?

OR

2. copy SystemAdmin and create SystemAdmin1  task profile and attached number of tasks and assign it to my ID.

Also, there are around 32 tasks.. If i add all of them will affect any performance issue or any other issue ?

You can delete it and recreate it with the same name and assign the tasks and your ID to this profile.

Hope this helps.

Hi Komik

Please login to BI and use the SE16 tcode. Check if the user is assigned to appset at UJE_USER. Incase its not available create the entry first in UJE_USER and then also create entry in UJE_USER_TEAM.

Use the full path of the user "Servername\Username"

Lemme know incase you are still facing problems.

Thanks Nilanjan for your responses. I think the problem was with the UJE* table entries. Thanks for all your help.

Hi,

1) In the Web Admin, Under Security-->Users

-->Add your user name and Assign Team Admin to to yourself

2)  Goto Task Profile --> Following Profile should be there by default

      i) PrimayAdmin           ii) SecondaryAdmin    iii) SystemAdmin

-->add Team Admin and your user for each task given there

Do Copy After doing the above activity .. if you find error again then the following and copy

3) Go to Data Access Profile , you will have ADMINMDRACCPRF

Maintain Data Access Profile for each Secured Dimension of each Model as Write Access

by default, secured dimensions are ENTITY & CATEGORY
