Dear expects!

On Oct-12-2011, I got exactly 500 points, & I had become active contributor silver.

Please see in link below:

http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/mypoints?userid=xpr318QnRl4%3D

But after being busy with my private maters, I came back & now I just Active Contributor Bronze.

I don't understand why. Could you please help me to explain it for me? I've read policy of sdn but I could not map with this case.

Thanks so much for your supports!

Best regards!

Woody.

It will depend upon you points for the last 12 months.

How many reward points you gain for the last Running 12 months only will considered for your status whether it is Silver , Bronze,Platinum or Gold.

See now for you for the last 12 months from  4/15/11 to 4/14/12  only 406( 490 in your profile ) points are there, so it will consider for Bronze  http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/mypoints?userid=xpr318QnRl4%3D

Hi Woody,

You were right as on Oct-12-2011. I would like to inform you how the active contribution status is calculated. There are 2 kinds of points that you can see in your profile.

  1. Points accrued in the last 12 months

You active contribution status is based on the points accrued in the last 12 months, not on the lifetime points. So if you don't earn any point for the next one year, then your active contribution points will become zero and so the status Inactive.

If you see your total points here http://scn.sap.com/people/woody.nguyen/reputation

  1. Points accrued in the last 12 months - 490  as of now.

That means of the lifetime points 589, 99 points have been earned during the period between Oct-12-2010 and Apr-14-2011. That means those 99 points will no longer be considered for evaluating your active status. Only the points you earned during Apr-15-2011 and Apr-14-2012 will be considered.

Another thing, I would like to inform you is that, the link http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/mypoints?userid=xpr318QnRl4%3D is no longer valid now as this provides the points you have accrued in old SDN. The points you earned in new SCN will not be available in this link. You can already see the difference here. In the link, you see the points earned during the last one year as of today, is 406 points. But actually you have earned 490 points in the last one year. That means the difference of 84 points have been earned in the new SCN.

Hope it is clear for you now.

Thanks for your understanding. Keep posting your suggestions and concerns which can help us to improve the features and quality of SCN.

Best Regards,

Leon
