Changing B2B Webshop - product catalog

Hi All,

I'm currently working as the developer on a CRM inplementation... One of the requirements is to change the way the product catalog works within the B2B scenario of the ISA. To be specific, the customer wants to use Adobe SVG diagrams to enable the ordering of spare parts.

As I have only limited knowledge of CRM I am using a test system to play around with changing the product catalog...

So far, I have done the following:-

Used the build tool to create a custom project based on the standard SAP B2B.ear

Created a java class called Z_AddToBasketAction in the package com.company.isa.catalog.actions which is a straight copy of the standard java class AddToBasketAction from the catalog.jar and placed it in the correct directory structure in my project folder (i.e. b2b_uk\project\java\com\companyname\isa\catalog\actions)

Adjusted the config.xml file in the WEB-INF folder to change the struts configuration - I've changed it so that the add to basket action points to my custom action

This essentially gives me a custom class that is called when the user clicks on the add to basket icon in the product catalog table although none of the functionality has actually changed.

Now, onto my question... Has anyone got any experience with adding custom functionality to the product catalog? I specifically want to add a button to the product catalog table that will call the SVG page. Here the user can select a number of products and then click on a button which should pass the products back into the shopping basket.

Any advice or pointers will be greatly appreciated (with points 😉 on anything related to this sort of development.

Thanks in advance.
