Updating one application of crystal report hosted on a server sharing one crystal server license

Hi,

I want to know if there are multiple application on one crystal server license, hosted on the same server, then what would be the effect on the other application due to updating of the crystal reports in one application?

and is there any complexity or difficulty in terms of time taken may arise in maintaining Crystal reports embedded applications in our environment with multiple application in same web server ?

I think you need to more clearly define updating.  Do you mean apply a Service Pack, or do you mean install a new version?  Also which specific product/sdk are you using?

There are different applications hosted on one server. Some of them are having crystal reports. The applications are sharing one crystal report license. My questions is that, if we update any of the application, i.e. updating the code, or changing the version of the application, etc. then will it cause any effect on the other applications?

Suppose we are making changes in one application of crystal report, and there are also some other applications hosted on the same server having crystal report and sharing the same crystal report server license. So, will the other applications be effected by making changes in one application?

If you are purely changing the code of your application, this won't matter.  If by changing versions, you mean the version of Crystal Reports your application is using, this shouldn't affect other applications as long as they are all above version 9 as Crystal Reports is side by side compatible.
