SSL Certificate points to Wrong Host Name

Former Member

Hi Team,

When we open NWA Link on our PI Test System

https://saptest.americanexpress.com/nwa, it throws certificate error:

The certificate points to sappiqapp1.americanexpress.com that is one of

the application servers of PI Test but we want it to point to

saptest.americanexpress.com .

The issue is urgent.

Request to revert at earliest

Thanks and Regards,

Somya Maheshwari

Hello,

You can disable ssl hostname checking by asking your basis to do it. Of course, there will be security risks involved when doing that.

Hope this helps,

Mark

Sowmya,

Once certificate created based on the fully qualified host name, it is not possible to edit it. The certificate has been authorized by the process. There is no standard way to edit the certs. It is not logical too. Unfortunately in this case, you might have to wait for the new request.  The public and private key algorithm is written based on many credentials including host name etc. So this is not possible.  Hope that helps.
