Download Netweaver Trial User name / password

Hi,

I live in Phnom Penh, and have a very fragile internet connection. So I'm using a download manager now. Since it's about time to get a new Netweaver Trial version, I've copied the download URL to the download manager. It requires, however, a user name and a password.

I've tried ma registered email address + password, SCN user name (jan.krohn) + password, SCN user id (105454) + password - nothing, nada.

Any idea what to enter as credentials...?

Well, I think I'm one step further now. The user name requested might be the one starting with a "p" followed by a numeric value. I remember it to be visible on the old forum's "business card". But I can't seem to find it now.

So any idea how to find out my old style user id?

Hi Kugi,

Go to Download Manager --> View --> Download Manager Configuration. And then Check whether you have entered correct credentials also check " Proxy Settings"

Unfortunately, SAP's answers haven't been of much help indeed. I had a colleague from Singapore download and bring the archive to the office in the end.

I'd offer to send a copy to you on DVD if sending stuff from Cambodia wouldn't be so darn complicated. If you just post it, it'd never arrive... So it'd also have to go via personal courier via Singapore... But maybe someone else here can help you and send out a DVD...(?)

Hi Jan,

In the download manager you need to give the S-user, I-user, C-user or the D-user.

If you are not an employee of SAP, you can get only the S-user. Please use the S-user in the

conffiguration tab.

Also, make sure you enter the proxy host and the port (depending on your network) correctly.

Not working.

Just to clarify: I'm talking about an SCN download here:

https://downloads.sdn.sap.com/netweaver/abap/70209_64/NWABAPTRIAL70209_64.rar

The S user is for service downloads only as far as I know.
