Dear All,

I got error in SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP 7.02 SP6 32-bit Developer Edition  installation on windows 2008 sever in phase  8 .

i have attached the full error log please have an look

please provide me sum solution to rectify it .....

Hello,

Regarding your issue could you check the following points, please check:

1) SAPinst version
Please could you apply the latest SAPinst patch according to SAP note:
  929929 - Latest SAPinst Patch

2) Virtual hosts
In case the installation host is not a physical but a virtual machine,
please use option SAPINST_USE_HOSTNAME:
  sapinst SAPINST_USE_HOSTNAME=<host name>

3) Installation user
The installation user should not be the <sid>adm user. Please use
another account who belongs to Local Administrators Group and
Domain Admins Group.

4) File control.xml
Please check the following SAP note and correct the file control.xml
accordingly:
  1341276 - Inst.NetWeaver 7.0 EHP2/Business Suite 7i2010 - UNIX
This note also applies to Windows, even if title contains 'UNIX'.

5) Kernel media
Please check whether you have built the kernel media according to
SAP note:
  1654937 - How to correctly build the SAP Netweaver 7.20 Kernel Media

I hope this information will help you. In case the error persists,
provide us with the following data and information:
- latest log files of sapinst_instdir directory
- profile files
- number of Installation Master DVD

where do i get latest SAPinst patch

David's reply is assuming you are installing a 'proper' SAP instance, not one of the Developer / Trial Editions.

I saw in the SAPINST.LOG that there are lots of warnings.  near the start of the log, I see ;

FSL-06002  Error 1060 (The specified service does not exist as an installed service. ) in execution of a 'OpenService' function, line (267), with parameter (ClusSvc).

This makes me wonder what user you are running sapinst under, and whether it has sufficient authority to, for example, create user groups and file shares ?  I usually use the Administrator user, or at least a user that is a member of the Administrator group.

BTW, is there a reason you are installing a 32bit version; there are later releases available (for example the SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP 7.02 SP9 64-bit Trial version), but they are 64bit only

actually I am running it on Administrator user ya obviously the system is having an 32 bit processor that's why i am using this... any way i have short out the issue by down grading my java version to 1.5 series now it is not giving that error but the instillation is still going on

actually i think stuck again on phase 16Import ABAP from last 3-4 hour

and showing me the same status of

without any error but it not progressing

hi it is finally installed but http://localhost:8000/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui?sap-client=000 is not running

In the SAP GUI, go to transaction SICF and activate the appropriate services.
