calling abap FM in BRF event's formula editor

Hello Experts,

We are in SRM 7.0 and using BRF workflow.

We are looking for automation based on shopping cart type like mdm catalog or freetext later we do approvals (based on value limit).

Automation is nothing but a matrix.

Right now I have written/tested correct expression for mdm catalog and freetext. Now I am able to check whether an item exists in mdm catalog or inthe freetext. This testing is based on individual SC type either MDM catalog or freetext.

Now i want to implement both of these on one event at the same time as one shopping cart may contain data from mdm catalog and freetext. Is it practically possible to do so ? I hope I am clear in the question.

I want to make my expression across event so generic that it should execute and corresponding process level would be triggered.

Right now I do have 2 separate function module expressions for freetext and mdm catalog. Can we call several function modules in one function module to achieve so ?If yes I would have to check process level, manager, lower limit sowhat could be the return type in this where 3-4 function modules will be called ?

Also I need to know whether one can call abap function module in the BRF's function module's expression?

Thank you.

Best regards.
