Hello all,

I have this situation. My client runs ERD (Exchange Rate Difference) and chooses all
account including those which shouldn’t be revaluate, such as Fixed Asset,
Inventory and Capital Account.

Can anyone give me suggestion on how to solve this situation?

Thank you,

Arin

Hi Arin,

I am afraid the best solution it to restore to the latest backup. To fix problem would only be possible by manual JE if no backup available.

Thanks,

Hi Gordon and Jim,

I supposed adjustment JE for non revaluation account is the
only way out to clear ERD entries. After it cleared, I will make sure that the
non revaluation account is unchecked in the chart of account
(detail account).

@ Jim, Ya bisa terjadi. It happened because in the Chart of
Account, the option of Exchange Rate Difference in the detail account for non
revaluation accounts was checked. And when the accountant executes ERD, they approved
all account.

Thank you all…

Hi Arin,

I suggest you to check if the ERD result is not reversed in the day after EDR date.

The impact is clear that the exchange rate gain / loss will be affected but you can do the adjustment only to the non revaluation account. The adjustment is using JE which it has been suggested by Gordon.

You can use query to trace the accounts.
