Hi All!
I have some questions with my query. To simplify it, let me illustate it using the example below.
I have values in the cube which shows like the one below.
GL....IO.. CostCenter....Amount
123....2....26.............500
123....3....26...........1,000
125....2....27...........2,000
I am making a query, wherein I want to display only the amount for IO 2 for GL 123. I restricted my query with the defaults for IO and GL. However, when I run the report, it showed me no values.
I try making again query with IO ( no restrictions) as my row and amount as my column, the column for amount showed 3,500 but the IO was Not assigned. I did the same thing, using cost center as my row and it showed me the breakdown of amount per cost center.
Could you pls tell me whats wrong why I cant filter using that IO object but its working fine using the other objects? I already had master data for IO, the cube contents is ready for reporting.
Pls enlighten me. Thank you
Changing a Content InfoObject from Display to Navigational is a problem, because this may be linked with some other objects.
So when you try to convert this it will give error.

Hi Durga,
I would like to know the problem you are expecting by changing the standard oject in the manner I said. In this case it creates one or few more tables .Other than this I am not able to get the other impact.
SAP has given predefined objects and their respetive attributes. Usally navigational attributes are created or maintained for supporting uesr requirement(in reporting). SAP cannot give 100% as predefined one .So I think When ever we need the attribute as Navigational ,We can change the standard one.

Hi Anil,
I mean, if this Display Attribute is connected with some other InfoObjects as a Display Attribute, then you want to convert it into Navigational, in the process of activation it will say this attribute is a display attribute and cannot be modified as navigational.
If it is not representing more than one, then the conversion is not a problem.
Cheers
is the IO a display attribute ?

Hi,
I think We canot do restriction on dispay attribute as you desired. If it is able to do , what should be the difference between Navigational attribute and Display attribute.
So, try to change the display attribute to navigational attribute in Infoobject maintenance. And also select this NA in Infocube maintenance.
Instead of doing restriction on IO , Restrict the key figure with IO value as you desired.

I got all the values in the cube. Everything is in there. But when i do some restrictions for that IO object, it does not show any values. But it is there in the cube. This goes only for that IO object. The rest are okey.

Hi Jezel,
Did you really check the content of the cube? And saw the records like you provided? Or you just sure that the data in the cube should be like those?
Best regards,
Eugene
