Planning Table for repetitive manufacturing

Former Member

Hello,

We are using planning table for my current client. Here we have configured the planning table to be planned in the forward direction. This means, if we give a start date the system calculates forward, booking capacity in the forward direction and finally tells me when the complete order quantity is available.

But am encountering an issue, when i specify a start date; system automatically goes 1 day back and then calculates in the forward direction. I am not able to figure out why...

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Aji

Hi

Go to T code OPU5 and select the plant and PF order type >Details>check in scheduling control>

scheduling type and start in past whether you have maintained 1 day or remove it.

Hi,

Go to SPRO--> Production --> MRP --> Planning --> Scheduling and Capacity Parameters --> Parameters for determining the basic date. Check if Start in past indicator is set for the plant. If yes, the remove the indicator and try again.

Hope this will solve the problem. Pl reward points if this helps.

Hello Gaurav,

Thanks for the prompt reply. I checked the same earlier. .. No.. the indicator is not set.

Then I have checked one more thing.. If the inhouse production time is specified as 1 day then system automatically goes back by 1 day and then plans forward in the planning table. If nil, then system plans from the day specified. Why is this happening? Am not getting the logic in this.
