BOM transfer error

HI,

I am getting below errors at the receivers end
Local item XXXX L cannot be changed via ale
Item XXXX L XXXX cannot be uniquely identified

what would be possible cause of the errors, pl. help

Hello,

Error BOM 022 occurs when attempting to change a BOM via ALE, which
was created manually in the target system. In this case the ALE flag is
not checked. You can use the ALE Distrubition to update only BOMs,
which are having checked the ALE flag. This flag is automatically set
when
creating a BOM via ALE and therefore that BOM can be updated without
any problem via ALE.

If you need to change BOMs via ALE, which were manually created in
the target system, you should update or set the ALE flag for these BOMs
in the target system. SAP note 209276 provides you with more information
on how to do that.
