Is SPS 04 DVDs required for Solman 7.1 SR1 Installation.

Hi,

In the guide, it has been mentioned that if you Install SOLMAN 7.1 SR1, it is equivalent to SOLMAN 7.1 - SPS04.

If this is the case, I feel we don't require the SPS04 files during installation.

(I think it is enough we use the Installation Master, and Installation Export and other DVD's except SPS04 files.)

Am I right ?

hi,

yes, sr1 dvd includes SP 04. But make sure the details of the Stack xml creation and usage based on your source system level done proper as stated in the note.

for example, if your source is above sp23 then you have to use the stack xml created by mopz.

As this is a new installation, there is no source system available.

So we cannot use mopz as well.

Instead of DVD's, In case, we download the SR1 Installation Master and Installation Export files from SMP, would that suffice ??

or should we have to download the SPS 04 files also.

Hi,

you have to download the sr1 installation master from smp only and proceed.

before that I am strongly suggest you to read the installation guide which of 100+ pages. it gives clear view about all.

and Solution manager 7.1 SR1 and solution manager 7.1 sp04 are same, no need to download anything more.

Hi Ragu,

I can confirm with you as i just complete one installation with SR1, Yes, it is suffice by just download the installation export files and Java compoenent. Your SOLMAN will be at level SP04 after installation. Also, SLD CR_CONTENT is at level SAP_CR 7.10 and CIM at 1.6.24.
