SAP B1 Upgrade

Hi all,

I am upgrading a DB that is 163gig on a local machine, in the upgrade process there is a part where u have to specify where you would like to have your Backup directed to. there are 3 options, use the Default MSSQL, backup to an external device or you can backup to a server by defining the network path. I cant proceed from this part as the isnt enough space on the machine to backup to, when choosing to backup to an external the wizard disallows me telling me that there isnt enough space. HELP

Regards,

Aubrey

You may want to try going into the SQL Server Management Studio and backing up right before you do the upgrade.  This may allow you to bypass this step.

Should I point the backup location in SQL the same as the location I want to specify to when perfoming the upgrade?

Hi,

I suggest to detach your SBO database and copy to external harddrive. After finish, attach it to sql server mgnt studio again.

After SBO db attached to sql server, you can upgrade and the SBO is automatically upgraded during the upgrade wizard.
