311 FI document

Hi,

Generally MB1B 311 doesnt have FI entry. Can by any setting in OMJJ or OBYC we achieve FI entries.

Valuation happen at plant level and this material movement within plant only so not possible by any setting

Even you copy & make New Mvt. type & do the OBYC settings , nothing will happen since the Valuation level is Plant, So movement within the Plant will not generate Accounting Entries.

As I already said Mvt within Plant will not generate Accounting, So even you use 411 or 311 there will be No Accounting.

Tej is right both movements wont help you even with any changes.. If this requirement is legal or critical for business, you need to create that storage location as plant(dummy plant) so when you transfer the goods between your plant and dummy plant(sloc), system creates an accounting document. thats one of the main reason in why we create plants instead of storage locations.

Hello DM,

Mov type 311 (one step procedure and 313 & 315 for two step procedure)  is used for transfer posting between storage location within plant so no  FI Doc will get generated. FI doc will get genrated when it is subject to valuation. i.e incase of 301, 303 and 305 transfer posting between the plants.

If you want you can copy 301 and try.

Hi DM,

When you take money from one pocket and put to your other pocket,you don't account for it,when you give to other person you have to be accountible for it.Similarly 311 is within plant i.e. same pockets thats why,

it doesn't need FI entry in std. SAP and can't be achieved by OMJJ or OBYC.

Hi,

Why you want accounting document for 311 movement type which used for transfer posting storage location to storage location in one step.What is your scenario's!

If want and really needed,scenario is different like stock integration or stock re-integration, then you can create new movement type  to triggers accounting  document number  during posting by creating an accounting  key or a account modifier(as need when business required).But always remember your valuation area is your plant and no meaning of having accounting document for material transfer between storage location to storage location!

In other hand you can use movement type 411 for Stock Transfer with special stock indicator (E, K, and Q) to Company's own stock( if needed) where account document created!

As 311 is a sloc to sloc transfer which is not expected to change in value, there is no accounting document posted. The only way is to have a custom movement type but can you elaborate on the need to have FI postings for a 311 movement?

As it is internal movement it will not generate accounting entries.If you want have entries then you need to custom movement and this is a difficult task.Standard process it is not possible.
