Superscript from formula field?

Former Member

I have a formula field that is used a few places in text objects.  Depending on some circumstances, what the formula field returns will sometimes need to have some embedded superscript characters. How can this be done in Crystal Reports 2011?

I've read a few places that using RTF formatting is the key, but I haven't go it to work.

My primary output target will be a PDF file.

Thanks.

Something similar was asked (but not answered) here: http://scn.sap.com/thread/2066065

It was also discussed here: http://scn.sap.com/thread/907704

I'm hoping that after 5 years this might be fixed.

A fix is hinted at here (http://scn.sap.com/thread/1634027) and here (http://scn.sap.com/thread/1777673) but I have yet to see any way to do it.

Hi Glen,

Do you have RTF tags for superscript characters in your formula?

There are some RTF tags that CR does not process properly and superscript is one of them.

The only way I know around this is to actually reduce the font size of the superscript character and place/align it beside other text.
