BAPI_DOCUMENT_CREATE

Hi ,

can any one tell me that is BAPI_DOCUMENT_CREATE is the right bapi to transfer file (PDF) from Application server in SAP to N/w directory ....

If anyone had worked on this can you please give me some details like the paramters to be passed in bapi and any other details required for the same.

You can not use BAPI_DOCUMENT_CREATE to transfer file from Application server in SAP to N/w directory.

The BAPI_DOCUMENT_CREATE is used to create contract/customer related documents ( Transaction Codes CV01N/CV02N/CV03N ).

I can't check this in my MiniSAP but from the name I am getting this feeling that no..it can't be done though this BAPI.

I'll suggest you get some help from your Basis guys and get the network directory mounted on your SAP application Server so that it will be accessible from SAP as a shared dir.

Then you can just configure a command in SM49/SM69 to move file from one directory to other. Use SXPG_COMMAND_EXECUTE FM.

Or else you can check FM DX_FILE_COPY and EPS_FILE_DELETE to attain the same purpose.
